We have loved living in our flat for the past 10 years. We’re only selling because we’re moving out of London, and will be very sad to leave it. It’s been a cosy, comfortable home for us initially as a couple, then sharing with a housemate and now as a young family. The flat gets loads of light so it’s been great for plants and has lovely views of urban wildlife over the school yard at the back. It’s been easy and quick to commute to work in central London – especially with the new Elizabeth Line from Whitechapel. The owners of the two other flats in the building are lovely and having a great relationship with them has made it simple to organise any maintenance work that’s been needed on the property. The flat’s location has been one of our favourite things – we’ve loved being surrounded by nice cafes, pubs and markets on Columbia Rd and Brick Lane, and being so close to Victoria Park and other green spaces.
